The County Drainage Board met this morning and one of the items on the agenda was the consideration of the drainage plan for the Union Township Fire Station. While the engineers have resolved almost all the issues to the satisfaction of the County Surveyor the outlet for the stormwater has yet to be resolved. From my understanding, the plans are pretty OK for the control of stormwater on the property, it is the proper design to have it run off downstream that is unclear.
The engineers were asked to work on the plans some more and present them at the next Drainage Board meeting on January 15, 2007. Since the drainage permit cannot be issued, the stop work orders remain in effect.
