Indiana Code 36-6-6-7 states that the Annual meeting of the Township Advisory Board, to organize by electing officers, shall occur on or before, the “First Tuesday after the first Monday in January.” So this year that means we will meet on January 2nd.
The Board will meet at 7PM at Union Elementary School. This should be a short meeting as I imagine I will still be sorting things out as far as the trustee’s office goes. It is required that the Board elect a president and secretary. We will then meet again on January 16th, at Union Elementary at 7PM to actually get started business wise. (We are meeting on Tuesday rather than Thursday as a board member will be out of town and not available on Thursday the 18th.)
Our plan is to then go back to the traditional third Thursday of the month for regular meetings of the Advisory Board.
