About

My husband John and I have lived in Union Township 28 years and we have 10 grandchildren. I am retired and being involved in Zionsville’s future is my passion.

I really enjoyed working for you as the Township Trustee, and now as the Union Township member of the Zionsville Town Council.  It is so important for you to be involved in local government, even as busy as we all are. It has been a real education to learn how our government works, and sometimes doesn’t.  Please feel free to contact me about your concerns and suggestions.

Do subscribe … we’ll be in touch more often … promise.

    Dear Mrs. Ulmer,
I’m very impressed with your website as well as your openness to discuss your point of view. My husband Cary and I moved to Zionsville three years ago and have enjoyed the experience immensely. We live in the Brookhaven subdivision south of the airport, which is of concern to me. I’m vaguely aware of the history of the land purchase, but want you to know I am very concerned about the danger posed to residents and school children, with Union Elementary School located her as well, if the airport is allowed to extend runways. I’d like to know what the plans are for that possibility and the status of the disagreement between Boone and Hamilton Counties. I’d love to talk to you about this issue.
