The residents of Eagle Township, Union Township and the Town of Zionsville overwhelmingly voted for Reorganization on November 4, 2008.
January 4, 2010 the Zionsville Town Hall was packed with residents
of our new community who witnessed history in the making. Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Randall Shepard administered the oath of office to new Councilors Essex and Ulmer.
The Town of Zionsville expanded from a “village” of some 12 square miles to become the largest “town” in Indiana at over 50 square miles. The brick street village, quiet neighborhoods bordered by a strong agricultural community make the new Zionsville a truly unique place to live and work – for all the right reasons.
